I never cared much for her modelling career, then again I've never cared much for anyone's modelling/acting career. I'm irked by most models and actors who have their jewel crowned head shoved so far up their ass, they can't see that their contribution to society is a big nil.
Their arrogance is profound and based on what? In a society where people would rather suck the fat from their ass or inject poisons in their lips rather than fund an inner city breakfast program , we've lost touch, completely. I degress...back to Tyra
They called her fat, they called her ugly...and she stood in front of the camera wearing her size 14 bathing suit and forced them to confront their cruel accusations. She spoke for every girl that stood in front of the mirror, filled with self loathing because her hips bones weren't protruding and she couldn't fit into those size double zero jeans all the starlets are wearing. She held her head high in that bathing suit and faced that scrutiny like a warrior. If just one little girl walks away thinking, if a supermodel has a body like mine, I must be beautiful too then Ms Tyra, you have contributed far more than most. You go girl!
Its early Friday morning and I'm enjoying a hot cup of java before leaving for the hill. Its a gorgeous day, mild and snowy. Perfect to test run my new Burton. We have to be back for 3 to get ready for Drew's game tonight. She has quite the cheering section this evening. All my family is coming to cheer her on in the net. I wonder if they realize just how much that means to her, how much their support and encouragment boosts her spirit sky high. Makes me love them more than ever.
